How to apply for the Scottish Government Coronavirus Business Support Fund

The Scottish Government has announced support measured for businesses worth £2.2 billion to limit the impact of COVID-19.

This support and grants are there to help keep companies in business during this time of uncertainty. It is to protect jobs, prevent business closure and aid economic recovery.

The Scottish Government Coronavirus Business Support Fund (CBSF)

The CBSF is now open and is available through local councils.

There are two types of this grant:

  • Firstly a one-off grant to small business rate-payers who receive the Small Business Bonus or rural rates relief. This is to the value of £10,000
  • Secondly a one off grant of £25,000. This is available to business ratepayers in the retail, hospitality and/or leisure industries that have a rateable value between £18,001 and £50,999.

How to apply for the grant

Applying for either type of this grant is simple. Simply complete the form linked here (Aberdeenshire) and here (Aberdeen City) and email it to your local authority.
