Meet The Team

Eric founded Grampian Accounting back in 1999. With over 35 years as an accountant in practice Eric manages the business including reviewing all of the accounts personally, allowing him to gain the best understanding of the clients’ businesses. Outside of the office Eric is an avid fisher and takes any opportunity he can to go and enjoy the outdoors.

Val joined Eric in 2010, following 30 years in the subsea industry as Financial Controller. Her responsibilities include client liaison along with the preparation of accounts. Outside the office she enjoys family time and travelling.

Glenn joined Grampian Accounting in 2010 during University while studying Aerospace Systems Engineering. After leaving University Glenn joined the team full time and has never looked back! Glenn covers all prospect meetings and loves meeting with new clients to get an understanding of how them and their business operates. In his spare time Glenn enjoys playing hockey and board games.

Phill has been part of the Grampian Accounting team since 2014. Phill’s main responsibilities include running all payroll and PAYE in the office. Phill is also certified in Xero payroll and QuickBooks cloud packages. Outside of the office Phill enjoys game shooting, Warhammer and Sports.

Jen Bowen started with Grampian Accounting back in 2011 while studying at university. Despite her degree being English Language and Linguistics she found herself enjoying the challenge of a more numerical and problem solving career. She achieved chartered accountant status with ACCA in 2018 and still enjoys a varied workload at GA including accounts, taxation, fiscal planning and VAT. Outside of the office she enjoys playing boardgames, going to the gym, and her role as a brownie leader.

Grant has worked with Grampian Accounting since 2002 following his graduation in Accountancy from Stirling University. He is a part qualified ACCA member and his main responsibilities are that of Accounts and Tax Manager, which includes preparation of accounts and taxation services. Grant can also assist with Payroll, VAT and Bookkeeping services. Outside of the office he is a keen golfer and enjoy travelling to many different places.

Ammanda graduated from Robert Gordons University in 2014 with a BA (hons) in Accounting and Finance. She then went on to study her ACCA accountancy qualification and became a fully qualified chartered accountant in 2017. Within the office her role is to prepare and finalise Annual Accounts, Tax returns and VAT returns along with providing advise to clients on all aspects of their business. Outwith work she enjoys spending time with family, socialising with friends and travelling.

Agnes joined the Grampian Accounting team in 2011, with over 30 years’ of experience in the subsea accounting sector, managing company financial records. Her main responsibilities include the management of contractor limited companies, cashbook processing and lodging VAT returns. Outside the office Agnes enjoys spending time with her family and friends.

Frances joined the Grampian Accounting team in 2007. Her main responsibilities include ensuring all Company Secretarial requirements are met, formation and set up of all new companies and the efficient day to day running of the office administration and reception. Outside the office Frances enjoys spending time with her family and friends.

Aileen was employed as a bookkeeper with payroll, VAT experience back to 1992 for 2 employers. She completed her HNC in Accounting at Moray College 1999/2000 day-release whilst still employed. When Aileen joined the team it was mainly for payroll with some bookkeeping in 2011. Her role has since involved and is much more bookkeeping focused these days. She enjoys walking, reading & quality family time.

Georgia’s main responsibilities include weekly upkeep of company books – mainly working within Quick Books and also Xero software along with helping Phill with all payroll duties. Georgia also undertakes a number of administrative tasks day to day within the office. Outside the office she enjoys socialising with friends, baking & living life with an energetic toddler.

Ahmer graduated from the University of Aberdeen in 2014 with a Master’s in Chemical Engineering. He then went on to study his CIMA accountancy qualification. Ahmer has 10 years’ experience in the oil and gas finance industry. Within the office his role is to prepare and finalise Annual Accounts. Out with work he enjoys spending time with family, socialising with friends, and travelling.

Harriet started with Grampian Accounting as an Assistant Accountant in 2024, having worked with us previously as an Accounts and Administrative Assistant. In her free time, Harriet enjoys running, baking, is part of a local choir and loves having board-game nights with friends.

Sam has been a part of the Grampian Accounting team since September 2023. His main responsibilities include accounts preparation, tax returns and fiscal planning. In his spare time, Sam enjoys travelling abroad, surfing, watching footy and soaking up nature.
